One of the red lights in the radio button line turns on when the Speed Editor is connected to DaVinci Resolve, i.e., you must start Resolve to see any sign of life on the Speed Editor itself.ģ) I'm not sure whether plain waiting could have accomplished the task, but I needed to connect via Bluetooth. The Speed Editor works (and charges) well on USB-A with an USB-A to USB-C cable, that is not included.Ģ) I don't see any feedback whether the Speed Editor is charging (nor documentation for the installation process), no matter whether it is connected to a USB-charger or connected by USB to the computer. Several YouTubers tell that the package doesn't contain a cable. The package also contains a note by BMD stating that a SD card is not still contained to reduce waste. Is it possible that having the DR Micro Control Panel installed first, that has stuffed the installation/drivers whatever for the speed editor?ġ) I got a 142 cm / 56" (w/o plugs) ∅5,6 mm USB-C to USB-C cable in the Package. I don't even care, at this point, about setting up a bluetooth connection. I get the idea of it only coming to life when Resolve is loaded - pretty smart, but is there a way to see if it has even been successfully charged up in the first place ?
I've unplugged and plugged it into 4 different usb slots while Resolve is running.ġ) Did you get a USB-C cable with the editor ? I didn't.Ģ) When you plug it in to your computer, do any of the lights work ? Flash on and off ? Anything ?ģ) When you plug it in to your computer, do you get the usb 'chimes' even if Resolve is not running? I have tried pressing CUT and SMTH CUT for a few seconds. I can plug and unplug my DR Micro Control Panel, and I get usb chimes, Device Manager info, and it gets listed in the DCP. Nothing appears in the Davinci Control Panels application. Nothing appears in the windows Device Manager. When plugging it into my laptop (Dell M6800) there is no usb chime. I've plugged it in via usb-c cable to my iPad Pro charger for 24 hours. I've just got my Speed Editor - landed here in the Falklands is a bit of a journey for the poor wee thing.
